Lindsay taught me her grandmother's recipe in 2011. We've made them together every year since. The kids have grown up and the pickles have only gotten better.

The recipe didn't come from a cookbook. It came from Lindsay's grandmother — passed down the way the best things are, in a kitchen, by hand, with someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Lindsay learned it, kept it, and in 2011 she taught it to Shannon.
They've made them together every summer since 2011.
That first batch was the beginning of a tradition. As the kids grew up, Shannon and Lindsay kept making pickles together every year — same recipe, same care, same kitchen ritual. Fifteen years of it. The kind of thing that becomes part of who you are.
